This might be the first arena in the U.S. to have had safety netting behind the goals prior to the 2002-03 season where it has been mandated in every arena in professional hockey.  The Wheeling Civic Center is on the smaller side, seats about 5,400, and has average, at best, sightlines.  The concourse is big enough that you can get around in between periods without much problem.  Cameras are allowed in the Civic Center.

Parking:  There is a big parking deck across the street from the Civic Center with $5 parking.

Camera policy:  I had no problem bringing my camera in the arena.

Food:  The food in Wheeling was average at best.

Restaurant Recommendation:  Prior to the game, we went across the street to River City Ale Works (1400 Main Ave).  Although the food at the game was average, the food at River City was worse.  Find another alternative to both!
