One of the arenas where Slapshot was filmed is an average, older arena with decent sightlines.  You’re best seating option is on the players’ bench side between the blue lines.  One of the ends is where the stage is for concerts and isn’t wonderful.  For the crowd size, the concourse is adequate and there is limited space to wait inside prior to going to the seating area.  

Parking:  There is parking across the street for $4.

Camera policy:  Cameras are allowed at the War Memorial despite a sign outside that says they are not.

Food:  The food at the War Memorial is decent, nothing to write home about arena fare with decent prices.  Beer prices are average as well.
