Sovereign Center

Reading Royals - ECHL

Reading, PA

Another fantastic small venue (seating about 7,200) with only 1 level.  This is a phenomenal place to watch a hockey game.  There really isn’t a bad seat in the house.  Since it is only one level, the Sovereign Center can get extremely loud.  Also, the concourse is very spacious, so there won’t be any problems getting around in between periods or after the game.  The Sovereign Center offers “Top Shelf” tickets, which are seats in the highest 2 rows behind the goals for $6.75!

Parking:  Parking is relatively easy in Reading.  There is a big lot across from the arena, but it is reserved for season ticket holders.  There is a parking garage on the other side of the arena, as a public lot down the street (both are $5) as well as on-street parking.

Camera policy:  Cameras are not allowed in the Sovereign Center.  Security will search all bags and pat you down, so it is virtually impossible to sneak them in either.

Food:  The food in Reading is also phenomenal.  In addition to typical arena fare, there is also a Mexican stand, barbecue stand, good cheesesteaks and a coffee bar that has excellent hot chocolate and dessert items. The beer is also good and cheap, with 25 oz. Labatts for $4.25. There is also a microbrewery downstairs with very good beer and food items.
