After not being re-signed by Phoenix, Jean-Marc signed a 2-year contract with the Florida Panthers.

In the 2005-06 preseason, Pelts played in 2 different road games and did not dress for any home games. As a result, the white away jersey has a few puck marks on the front.

The navy road jersey was not even put on and is game-issued only.

Jean-Marc was also issued a red alternate jersey as well that is game-issued.

In the 2006-07 season, Pelts appeared in 2 road preseason games and did not dress in the home games. Although he did not see any game action, Jean-Marc was part of the first NHL game ever played in Puerto Rico. The jerseys worn in that game had a special Puerto Rico patch on the front crest and were auctioned off.
