Hershey Bears - American Hockey League

Hershey, PA

The Bears new home just opened in the 2002-03 season and is spectacular. No, it doesn't have the history that the "Barn" (Hersheypark Arena) had, but no new arenas do. It is considerably bigger than the Arena, but the sightlines are good from any seat. Also, unlike the Arena, you can actually understand what the P.A. announcer is saying! The concourse is pretty spacious and is relatively easy to navigate, even between periods.

Parking: $6. To enter the parking lot, you drive completely around the arena and must do the same to get out. Getting out of the parking lot can take some time as well, as there is only 2 exits.

Camera policy: Cameras are allowed, but bags will be searched.

Food: A major upgrade from the old barn. Specialty sandwiches and soup are available, as well as normal arena fare. Beer is also now available in Hershey. The only negative is that the Bricker's fries are not the same as they were in the "Barn" I think the new fryers just don't give the same flavor as the older ones! Prices are reasonable and all of the concession stands take credit cards, a very nice touch!
