Utah Grizzlies

American Hockey League

2004-05

During the NHL lockout, Pelts spent 3/4 of the season with the lowly Utah Grizzlies. In previous seasons, the Grizzlies were the affiliate of the Dallas Stars, but made the horrendous mistake of bringing in the Coyotes as their affiliate in 2004-05. This affiliation lasted all of one season, so this style of jersey was only used for one season. That said the Grizzlies only used one set of jerseys that season. Jean-Marc has the red jersey while I have the white one. Towards the end of the season, Jean-Marc was loaned back to Springfield in exchange for goaltender Jamie Storr. Ironically enough, Storr was renting Jean-Marc's home in Springfield during that season.

The white jersey shows very good wear with numerous puck marks littered all over the front, pipe paint transfer on the back bottom hem and an unrepaired hole near the front crest.

The Grizzlies wore 3 special jerseys during the 2004, a Halloween themed jersey, a Christmas themed jersey and a "Guns n Hoses" themed jersey.

The Halloween jersey was worn in one game and Jean-Marc backed up David LeNeveu that evening so it shows virtually no use.

The Christmas jersey was worn for 2 games, both of which Jean-Marc was is net for and was the only 2 game winning streak for the Grizzlies that season. Given that the jersey is dark, there is little visible game use.

The Guns n Hoses jersey was worn in one game and Pelts sat on the bench that game as well.
