Needless to say I think I can safely say that if it were not for Jean-Marc playing in Germany I am not certain if I ever would have made a Trans-Atlantic flight, let alone gone to Germany. That said it was the most amazing experience. In addition to experiencing the spectator sport that Kate and I enjoy the most in a way that we may never experience again, we saw some amazing sights, ate great food, drank wonderful beer and met some great people.

With regards to the people, even before my trip I started to receive emails from Adler fans asking me about Jean-Marc. Never in my life would I have expected faceless email addresses transform into friendships. Even if we never go back to Germany again we consider the likes of Markus, Matthias, Sven, Larry and Tanja to be friends and certainly plan on remaining friends regardless of where Pelts may be playing.
