The Bobcats Arena reminds me a lot of the "Q" in Cleveland. The arena was built for basketball and the sightlines for hockey are not good. Not to mention the fact that half of the concession stands aren't open because the arena is only a third to a half full. That said the ambiance is not wonderful here. This isn't an arena that I would rush to go back to.
Parking: There are a number of lots surrounding the arena and the closer you get to the arena the higher the cost. The closest lot was $12 while the others ranged from $8-10. This is certainly the highest of any ECHL arena I have visited.
Camera policy: I did not bring my camera to the game, but I did see others with cameras.
Food: We ate before the game and did not have anything at the arena
Arena rating: * 1/2 / Food rating n/a
Restaurant recommendations: There are a number of restaurants within walking distance of the arena. If you like soul food I highly recommend Mert's Heart and Soul (214 N. College Street). There is nothing fancy about this place, but at 5:30 it was packed. The patrons ranged from college kids to people in their 50's. The fresh baked corn bread was phenomenal as was the beef ribs and meatloaf.
